Despite an overall drop of 5% in overall music sales last year, CDs continue to be the dominant way that people buy their music.

For those of us that use Itunes, Bandcamp, Spotify, and one of any of the countless online resources available for music discovery and purchasing, this might be a bit of a surprise. This graphic illustrates just how much ground the various internet sources are gaining on the good ‘ol compact disc, but the CD still wins over downloads.

However, think of all of the places that CDs are still sold- including at the merch booth at live shows! Musicians still go for CDs for convenience and overall aesthetic, because we all know that you can’t spend time and go through the awesome artwork on a download card or MP3 file.

If you need CDs duplicated and high quality artwork printed into any kind of package for your fans to hold, contact us at Eyedea Worx! There are so many different options available for CDs and we’d love to show them all to you!
